Emergency Grant Funding secured
(15 Jun. 2020)

The Stained Glass Museum is delighted to have been awarded emergency grant funding from The Arts Council and other funders to help see it through an extended period of closure during the coronavirus pandemic.
We are delighted to report that The Stained Glass Museum has been awarded emergency grant funding from Arts Council England (£23,000), The Headley Trust (£10,000), and Cambridgeshire & Huntingdonshire Family History Society (£1,000) towards essential running costs during the COVID-19 pandemic.

We are most grateful to these organisations and also all the individual donors who have collectively contributed more than £3,000 in donations over the last couple of months to help cover our essential running costs during this time.

This funding will help ensure we are able to reopen when it is safe to do so. The museum has suffered heavy financial losses during its closure, since 80-90% of its income comes from paying visitors and income-generating events.

"No doubt there are challenging times ahead, but we remain cautiously optimistic about a phased reopening, and continue to think creatively about ensuring our collections are available to all." - Dr Jasmine Allen, Director and Curator
