Do I need to pre-book / buy tickets in advance?


If you are visiting The Stained Glass Museum only, tickets can be purchased in advance online from Art Tickets.

If you are visiting both Ely Cathedral and The Stained Glass Museum, we encourage you to buy a joint ticket in advance from Ely Cathedral.



Is there somewhere to leave my bags?


We do not have lockers so please do not bring large bags or suitcases into the museum. Large bags (including rucksacks) are not permitted in the gallery in order to protect the exhibits.



Are dogs allowed into the museum?


Yes! Well behaved dogs are welcome to visit the museum, if they are on a lead and with their responsible owners.



Are audio guides or guided tours available?


Our audio guide, alongside lots more information and self guided tours, are available via our Free Digital Guide, available via Bloomberg Connects. Free public WiFi is available onsite. To find out more about booking a guided tours please contact the museum



Is your museum suitable for children and families?


Absolutely! Our gallery has an interactive light box, interactive activities throughout the gallery, as well as trails and activity sheets for our younger visitors. Find out more on our families page here



Can groups visit?


If you are planning to visit in a group of more than 8, please let us know in advance. Groups who would like a guided tours need to book in advance



Can carers come in for free?


Visitors who need a companion or carer to accompany them on can bring their carer in for free.
