Welcome to the Learning Page for Families!
We are reopening our museum on Tuesday 18th May.
Our gallery will also be accessible for families (in compliance with social distancing rules).
We will still have a learning and storytelling area (albeit slightly reduced), with a light box and resources from our Discovery bags including some museum trails. In line with our COVID-19 Policy the Learning area will have a sanitisation station which we encourage users to use before and after engaging with our learning materials.
Going forward we will also be joining with Ely Cathedral for a Family Open Day on Saturday 26th June, so come and say hello!
Looking ahead, we also will be reintroducing in-person SG Mini's for Early Years, Art Unlocked for ages 8-11 and 12-16 plus a host of family fusing and glass painting workshops.

Children's Glass Fusing
The Stained Glass Museum runs glass fusing workshops for children at two levels. Level 1 is designed for beginners, and Level 2 for those who would like to develop their glass fusing skills.
All children must be accompanied by an adult.
Our SGMinis sessions are held monthly for under 5's, their older siblings and parents/carers. Each 1.5 hour drop-in session (10:30am-12:00pm) has a different theme and includes a themed story and craft session, as well as creative play.
Upcoming SGMinis sessions
SGMinis are £2 per child, to cover craft costs, including refreshments for all.
No booking required; drop-in during advertised times.
Safeguarding: Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times when attending our workshops.
Access: All of our workshops take place in the museum which is accessed via a stone spiral staircase of approximately 40 steps. Buggy park and toilet facilities available on the ground floor of the Cathedral.
