The figure on the right is wearing a white robe and a green cloak. He rides a brown horse. This panel is a copy of a medieval stained glass panel. The orginal window can still be seen today in the north choir aisle of Canterbury Cathedral. It is part of a Biblia Pauperum, Pauper's Bible window, which dates from the twelfth century. The window was intended to illustrate subjects from the Bible for those who could not read, and to enhance the biblical understanding of those who could read. Benjamin Finn (b. 1964) has faithfully reproduced the medieval painted detail and expressive gestures of the three kings on their way to Bethlehem.
