Four stained glass lights and a tracery panel. The scenes depicted in this window include; Lazarus, Christ in the house of Mary and Martha and the Agony in the Garden. Designed by Robert Bayne and manufactured by Heaton, Butler and Bayne in 1865. One light shows Martha the busy housewife and her sister Mary of Bethany, the quiet thoughtful figure at the feet of Jesus. The window displays the strong, vigorous figure style and clear, bright colours associated with Heaton, Butler Bayne. The ruby glass used in Christ's robe is particularly fine. Clement Heaton and James Butler became partners in 1855 and were joined by Bayne in 1862. The firm became one of the largest and most successful of the 19th century.
