THE PRESENTATION IN THE TEMPLE
Brief description: Part of a stained glass light depicting the Presentation in the Temple. This scene depicts Joseph and the Virgin Mary. The glass was designed and made in the studio of John Hardman and Company in 1866, as part of the restoration of a series of 14th century windows. A small portion of the glass in the canopy retains original medieval glass, but the rest of the window was made to match the surviving medieval panels in the church, which illustrate scenes from the life of the Virgin Mary.
