Brief description: Colour photograph of a single light window with depicting Christ blessing the children. Designed at the Goddard and Gibbs Studio, London
This window serves as a memorial to alumni of the secondary school who died during the World Wars. It depicts Christ, in a yellow robe and red cloak, with a halo of stars, standing before a torch. In a nice detail, lighter glass is used for the robe near the torch, creating a sense of light spilling out from it. He carries a quill and a scroll quoting Matthew 11:29. Two young boys, dressed in green robes trimmed with pink, clasp his robe. The background is formed of geometric patterns in brightly coloured glass. Written on reverse 'Please return to Mr S Radcliffe'. Goddard & Gibbs, founded from a merger of Walter Gibbs & Sons and Goddard's Glass Works in 1938, were prominent makers of stained glass for the international market and also conserved and restored glass.
