This window depicts the same scene, Christ's Ascension, across all three lights. In the centre, Christ hovers, dressed in a robe and cloak and nimbed with a cruciform halo. He raises both hands in a gesture of blessing, and his bare hands and feet show the stigmata, the wounds of his crucifixion. On either side, groups of three disciples kneel or spread their hands in shock. Above them on either side, against the background of plain quarries, is a quote from the King James Bible, Acts 1:10. Commissioned by Rev T Wood. Goddard and Gibbs job number 21/78665/A, LON 3725 A. Goddard & Gibbs, founded from a merger of Walter Gibbs & Sons and Goddard's Glass Works in 1938, were prominent makers of stained glass for the international market and also conserved and restored glass.
