Brief description: Black and white photograph of a single light window depicting John the Baptist. Designed at the Goddard and Gibbs studio, London
St. John the Baptist was a prophet and holy man, who is most famous for proclaiming the coming of Christ and baptising him. Here, John is dressed in his typical camel-hair tunic, with a white cloak. He holds a cross-topped staff and a disc with a lamb on it. This represents his famous identification of Jesus as the Lamb of God (John 1:29). Window commissioned by Frank Peat. On reverse 1 - 71 x 21' £111.0.0. Ex works. Goddard and Gibbs job number 21/74818/A, LON3151.
