Brief description: Two designs for 3 light windows depicting the Chichester worthies
Proposed design for two 3 light windows in the north aisle depicting the Chichester worthies. Window no 2. depicts Bruno Ryves in the left light, Thomas Weelkes in the centre light and Bishop Montague in the right hand light. In window no.1, the easternmost window depicts Bishop Reginald Pecocke in the left light, Bishop Ralph Luffa in the centre light and St Wilfrid in the right hand light. All windows have a clear rectangular quarry background with heraldic crests in the tracery. The tracery in the left hand 'no.2' window is unfinished. The back of the design has some biographical details of the Bishops. This design was created by Christopher Webb (1886–1966), an English stained glass designer based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. He studied at the Slade School of Art and was then articled to Sir Ninian Comper. During his active career from 1920 to 1964 he produced over 400 windows with a distinctive character and style.
