Brief description: Design for a 3 light stained glass window depicting a Risen Christ with additional lights of Mary and St George.
Proposed design for the east window, including a 3 light central window and two further lancets. The main window depicts a Risen Christ in the central light with angels in the left and right lights. The left hand lancet depicts Mary in the main panel with an angel below. In the right hand lancet, St George s depicted with an angel below. 4 quatrefoils complete the window. The window has a diamond quarry background. This design was created by Christopher Webb (1886–1966), an English stained glass designer based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. He studied at the Slade School of Art and was then articled to Sir Ninian Comper. During his active career from 1920 to 1964 he produced over 400 windows with a distinctive character and style.
