Brief description: Design for a 2 light stained glass window depicting scenes from the life of Jesus
Proposed design for the west window of the south aisle depicting Christ in the temple enclosed within a wreath design with banner. At the bottom of the left light is a nativity scene and in the bottom of the right hand light shows Christ in the carpenters shop. The window has a plain rectangular quarry background with a dedication at the bottom to a boy who died aged 11. This design was created by Christopher Webb (1886–1966), an English stained glass designer based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. He studied at the Slade School of Art and was then articled to Sir Ninian Comper. During his active career from 1920 to 1964 he produced over 400 windows with a distinctive character and style.
