Brief description: Design for a 4 light stained glass window depicting the annunciation
Proposed design for the East window of the north chapel depicting the annunciation, with Mary in the centre right hand light and the angel in the centre left light, both are surrounded by a decorative boarder and have a quarry background. There are two angels shown in the tracery. There is a 'Chester consistory council approved' stamp in the bottom corner dated 25 July 1958. This design was created by Christopher Webb (1886–1966), an English stained glass designer based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. He studied at the Slade School of Art and was then articled to Sir Ninian Comper. During his active career from 1920 to 1964 he produced over 400 windows with a distinctive character and style.
