Brief description: Design for a 4 light stained glass window depicting the seasons
Proposed design for a window with 4 lights, in 12 panels. The top and bottom panels of each light are a simple quarry design, decorated with stain. The centre panels each contain a pastoral scenes for the seasons. In the left light, the boy tends to the lambs, in the centre left, a girl picks flowers, in the centre right light, a boy picks fruits and in the right hand light a girl collects firewood in the snow. On the reverse a note says 'price £113.16.0'. This design was created by Christopher Webb (1886–1966), an English stained glass designer based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. He studied at the Slade School of Art and was then articled to Sir Ninian Comper. During his active career from 1920 to 1964 he produced over 400 windows with a distinctive character and style.
