Brief description: Design for a 2 light stained glass window depicting St Birinus and Lancelot Andrewes
Proposed design for the windows on the north and south sides. The left light depicts St Birinus with angels above. The right light depicts Lancelot Andrewes, Bishop of Chichester with angels above. Both are surrounded by decorated column. In pen at the bottom of the design is noted 'Recommended by the Winchester and Portsmouth Diocesan Advisory Committee, October 24, 1937'. This design was created by Christopher Webb (1886–1966), an English stained glass designer based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. He studied at the Slade School of Art and was then articled to Sir Ninian Comper. During his active career from 1920 to 1964 he produced over 400 windows with a distinctive character and style.
