Drawings include designs for foliate quarries, grisaille windows, Royal arms, heraldic beasts, holy monograms, evangelist symbols, borders, canopies, heads of saints, cut glass works for door handles.
Notebook containing sketches and notes by Clement Heaton (1824=1882), glass painter and decorative artist: c80pp comprising drawings, sketches, and occasional notes with one also to the Heaton Butler and Bayne concerning a project. (1871) Some paste down illustrations. Calligraphic name drawn onto front end paper 'C Heaton' with bookplate of King of Norwich with class number on the corner paste down. Marbled boards, quarter green morocco, spine missing. Internally dusty. 180x210mm. Loosely inserted Cunard passenger list for R M S Abyssinia returning from New York in 1880 and sheet of headed paper from the Union Castle Line – The Cunnard list includes C. Heaton as a passenger. C1870-1880. There is also a letter from Frederick H. Sutton to Heaton, Butler & Bayne regarding the ceiling decoration of Trinity College Chapel under Arthur Blomfield.
