Brief description: Cartoon of Eve for the west window of Glasgow Cathedral

An ink and wash cartoon by Francis Spear (1902-1979) for the face of Eve (ELYGM2012.3.2), is a preparatory cartoon for the west window of Glasgow Cathedral (St Mungo's). The window for which Spear created this cartoon for was commissioned in 1956 and dedicated in 1958. It forms part of the west window on the theme of 'The Creation'. At some point the image has been cropped from a larger cartoon.
