Location and Travel

The Museum is located in Ely Cathedral. It is accessed by a stone spiral staircase (40 stairs). For those unable to access the Museum, a touchscreen virtual tour is available on the ground floor.

There are coach drop-off bays directly outside the main doors of the Cathedral (CB7 4DL). Further bays and long term coach parking are available in Barton Road Car Park (CB7 4DX) which is only a 5 minute walk from the Cathedral.

Adult Supervision

We recommend the following ratio of adults to children:

  • 1:6 for children of seven years and under
  • 1:10 for children of eight years and above

In line with national guidelines, we reserve the right to refuse entry when the level of adult supervision falls short of a ratio of 1:15.

Facilities

Toilet and lunch facilities are shared with Ely Cathedral.

Groups are very welcome to visit our shop, please request this at the point of booking. You can also pre-order ready-assembled souvenir goody bags, please ask for more information when you book.
