JESUS CHRIST

Brief description: A square stained glass panel with the head of Jesus Christ depicted, he is haloed and his shoulders are draped in red robes. Designed and made by William George Phillips in about 1900.

Square panel with a blue background framed with white elongated lozenge shapes. The head of Jesus Christ is central and his shoulders are draped with a red robe. This head of Christ against a blue background framed by lozenges of white glass may have been a trial piece, or used as a stock design in the studio. The face of Christ is very carefully painted with use of yellow stain for the hair and beard. Paint has also been stippled on using a brush and scratched with a needle.
