The predella panel below illustrates the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to St Elizabeth, surrounded by six acolytes. This window formed part of a magnificent scheme commissioned in the 1920s as a First World War memorial for the Lady Chapel of the Convent of Notre Dame, Dowanhill, Glasgow. Typical of Harry Clarke's style, the figures are elegant and attenuated, ornately-clothed and set against a rich background. Dublin-born Harry Clarke (1889-1931) inherited his family
