CHERUB

Brief description: A cherub set in a roundel on a deeply shaded ground. The cherub holds a deer across his shoulders.

This cherub roundel was one of several small panels set within a leaded window at the home of Thomas Lister (1723-61) at Gisburne Park. The panel was incorporated into the window alongside panels commissioned from the York glass artist William Peckitt.
