This rectangular panel with rounded corners depicts several flowers painted in enamels, wih leaves in yellow stain and green enamel with purple and mauve roses and auriculas. They appear to be accurate botanical studies of individual flowers and plants, arranged in an artistic composition. The artist William Peckitt has included a flowing ornate feature at the bottom of the panel, which links the stems of the plants together. At the end of one of these stems a diamond penchant hangs in the lower right hand corner. Inside the penchant, in small writing, is Peckitt's signature. The panel was originally installed alongside a numbe of other small painted panels in a window in Gisburne Park, an 18th century country house in Lancashire owned by Thomas Lister (1723-61).
