Group information

If you'd like to visit The Stained Glass Museum as a group, please contact us advance.

Groups of 10 or more receive discounted entry to the Museum

Adults                     £3.50

Concessions            £3.00           (seniors and full-time students)

As the main gallery is narrow, in order to protect the collection and enable you to have the best visit possible, we can only accommodate groups of 15 (maximum) at one time. We request that larger groups are split into smaller groups of up to 15. Entrance to the Stained Glass Museum can be staggered, or, if you are combining your visit with another attraction in Ely, such as Ely Cathedral, Ely Museum, or Oliver Cromwell House, groups can be split.

Guided Tours for groups (maximum 15 persons in one group) are available via prior arrangement, and can greatly enhance your visit to the Museum. Please note that additional tour fees apply. We aim to make your visit as easy and as enjoyable as possible by understanding your requirements and catering for your needs.

The Museum is located inside Ely Cathedral and there is plenty to do in the building to fill a day’s itinerary. Nearby attractions include Ely Museum and Oliver Cromwell’s House (all within walking distance). The Museum is also a 15 minute train ride, or 30mins drive from Cambridge, and can easily be combined with a visit to one of Cambridge’s many attractions.

Have a break

Although the museum does not have a café, Ely Cathedral’s Refectory Café is very close, as is the Almonry Restaurant and there are a number of coffee shops and cafés a 5-10 minute walk away in town.
